Model Airplane
Woodworker: Bruce Crawford
Model maker Bruce Crawford made this piece from more than 1000 small pieces of wood. Various species of wood were stack laminated, then carved. Crawford used Peruvian walnut, lacewood, satine, padauk, and two types of ebony. Only a few details are inlaid veneer. The propeller is made from etched glass, and the plane is mounted with brass rods.
