Asian-Style Nightstand

Woodworker: Asa Christiana

This is reproduction of a design by furniture maker Douglas Green (www.greendesigns.com). Christiana made two of them to accompany a platform bed he built, also based on a Green design. The wood is air-dried walnut that he bought from Garrett Hack, who cuts timber on his Vermont farm.

This is a very nicely done table! I am interested in building one to go with some Asian style furniture we have, but out of mahogany. Do you have plans or additional photos you could share?

Am interested in also making the table. What technique did you use to do the curved edges on the top and shelf? Spokeshave? Router? Sander?
