Syvertsen turned this mesquite burl vessel (6-1⁄2 in. dia.) from a circular burl that grew 360° around a limb. The challenge was maintaining the appealing live edges while hollowing the walls of the vessel down to 3⁄16 in. thick. He finished it with Danish oil.
