Some tools are meant to go around a window. I didn't have a window so I made one.
All of the hardwood used is from pallet wood. The cabinets are OSB. The paint is from the mis-tint pile and the wallpaper boarder was the last one left in the discount bin. It was too short to go anywhere else.
It takes a lot of crowbars to get those pallets apart. Bigger really is better.
This is my most frequently used hardware storage. One baby can provide enough jars to fill three of these cabinets. Who knew?
Lots of people tell me I can't win. Yep, well, I already have a broken heart so what's new about that?
Love the window! I had thought of doing something similar for my dreary basement workshop after admiring the windows in the background of the Lie-Nielsen videos. Also thought about removable seasonal pictures, or maybe make it sized for travel posters. Then I can do my woodworking on tropical beaches or alpine meadows!
