Jointer table extensions
One of the more useful accessories in my shop, extension tables for a small jointer. These make handling large, long and heavy stock a breeze. With a center mounted fence, the ends of the jointer were clear to drill and attach a block. The table slips over the block and is fastened with a couple of screws. Elongated holes allow adjustability for the mounting block and legs. The table extensions must be flat and set up in line with the jointer tables. These can be made in any size. Jointers with end mounted fences may need some problem solving such as a bracket that ties in so it won’t interfere with the fence operation. The screws that attach the tables make for easy removal and mounting.
