Viking boat bed
My grandson’s maternal grand parents are Norwegian, so when my son asked me to make a special bed for him, I naturally thought of a viking boat. The final bed has hatches fore and on the sides for clothes, a secret compartment for candy, a time capsule mounted underneath with sketches I drew and videos of construction. The dragon’s head is meant to be whimsical and even contains a discoloured tooth as a warning about tooth brushing. The headboard carving of a dragon has my grandson’s and granddaughter’s names in the runic script.

Very nice Work! Being a father as well I can imagine the reaction of your son the first night he got to sleep in it.
Really lovly bed your grandson is a lucky little chap! Do you come from a boatbuilding background?
Wow!!! Incredible, so imaginative, so detailed, and truly inspiring. How did you become so skilled and capable to be able to realize such a creative design?
Would you be able to provide some kind of plan with dimensions, materials, tools, etc. for a fee? I would really love to build this for my son who does not like to be alone in bed. I think he might feel safer if he were protected by the dragon keeping watch all night!
