Solid Ash Refectory Table
Refectory tables were originally used in castles and monasteries to seat hundreds of people, and were built to last using thick legs and heavy joinery. As shown, this table will seat fourteen comfortably, and up to eighteen on special occasions. This table will be used by a family of four, who will really be able to spread out…
The top is in two sections, and the base breaks down into five pieces. I won’t lie, it’s heavy (350 lbs?), but assebly is simple. 5.5″ square legs, 1.75″ thick top, aprons & stretchers. Big mortise & tenon construction.
14′ long x 42″ wide x 30″ tall
