A conveniently located toggle switch on this model allows you to keep both hands on the handles when turning the router on or off in both plunge and fixed modes. And if a D-handle is important, one is offered as an accessory. In the plunge mode, the action of the DeWalt was noticeably smooth, a plus because a sticky plunge action can change the focus of concentration from the cutting process to getting the housing to plunge.
