A Woodworker's Circular Saw
Festool's plunge circular saw and guide is destined for the woodshopOn the road at the 2004 Association for Woodworking and Furnishings Suppliers annual tradeshow in Las Vegas, Fine Woodworking editors took a look at some interesting tools for woodworkers.
The AT 55 E plunge-cut circular saw from Festool caught our eye as a nice tool for woodworkers with small shops who want to cut sheet goods down to size but don’t have the luxury of a cabinet saw or panel saw. In this video, John Armenia, New England sales manager for Festool, demonstrates the saw at work.
While this model of Festool’s plunge-cut circular was replaced in 2006 with a new version (model TS 55 EQ), it features many of the innovative features that are also baked into the new model.
