This drill is top of the line as far as power is concerned, and it gets top marks as well for chuck runout. As for gripping power, it held well in softwood but showed some slippage in hardwood. Its low-profile battery is easy to grasp and change, and the textured chuck has an automatic shaft lock but requires two-handed tightening.
