Leigh Industries recently came out with a new version of its flagship dovetail jig. The D4R has many of the same features as its predecessors, including the ability to cut half-blind and through dovetails in a variety of sizes and configurations. However, the jig now comes with a single-piece aluminum extrusion body and machined-in side stops that help support a workpiece while being cut.

During a visit to the Association of Woodworking and Furnishings Suppliers annual tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada, we stopped by the Leigh booth to take a look at the D4R. In this video, Dale G. Helmstadter, from Leigh Industries, demonstrates how it works.
