A sanding frame improves the stability of a belt sander on wide surfacesIf you’re not careful, a belt sander can produce dips, gouges, and deep scratches on a workpiece. Several manufacturers make sanding frames that fit the bottom of the machine and are designed to make the sanders more stable. Each manufacturer’s frame attaches a little differently.
