Most noticeable on this tool is the vernier scale, which mounts opposite a larger scale and allows for angle adjustments as small as 1/10°. Also, the 24-in.-long aluminum miter bar has five graphite plugs that adjust to eliminate any sloppiness between the bar and the slot.

This gauge also features a unique 1/100° micro-adjuster. When used with the optional fence and a set of dial calipers, it allows for extremely precise angle settings.

I used the miter gauge with the optional 24-in.-long aluminum fence. The gauge was accurate and ready to use out of the box. All of the preset angle settings were right on, and the face of the miter head was machined perfectly square to the table. The angle markings were sharp and easy to read.

The Precision Miter Gauge sells for about $100. Plan to spend about $150 for the gauge plus the 24-in.-long fence, which includes a flip stop.
