For many woodworkers, a single cordless drill is all they need for drilling and driving screws. But a hefty drill/driver can be overkill. In some cases, a cordless screwdriver may be just the ticket. Ridgid has released a new 9.6v cordless screwdriver (model R81030) that features a nickel-cadmium battery pack and it can pivot from a straight stick style driver to a right-angle handle. The 9.6v cordless battery recharges in 30 minutes and provides enough power to drive 3-in.-long screws.
