Gerald Curry's original designs highlight traditional joinery with shapes and proportions of the past
Synopsis: Maine woodworker Gerald Curry’s first learned furniture making by copying museum pieces. After almost 25 reproducing of American furniture of the late 18th and early 19th centuries Curry struck out on his own. His pieces incorporate traditional joinery, shapes and proportions but demonstrate a clarity, lightness, and restraint that are a breath of fresh air.
