IWF 2006: Porter-Cable Redesigns The OmniJig
Complete overhaul of design and additional features bring this versatile jig into the 21st century

Fine Woodworking editor Asa Christiana takes a look at a prototype of Porter-Cable’s redesigned OmniJig, which is set to be available in January 2007. The 24 in. model will retail for as much as $550 but it comes with a number of new features not found on the company’s earlier jig, including variable spacing, a built-in dust hood, a bit-depth jig, and an aftermarket mortise-and-tenon template.
