In this video interview, furniture maker Mark Cwik talks to Fine Woodworking managing editor Mark Schofield at the 2006 Fine Furnishings Show in Providence, R.I., about an impressive bubinga writing table he had on display at his booth. Cwik, a woodworker based in Chicago, discusses the challenges he faced when working with the large, live-edge slab, including how he reinforced the live edge, filled voids and cracks with epoxy, and applied an even finish.
