I tested seven oscillating spindle sanders that range in price from $140 to $640. All were compact enough to sit on a workbench (except for this model from Grizzly and another floor-standing model from Bridgewood), and all handled their primary task of sanding curves very well. The Grizzly G9922 features a tilting cast-iron table with a 5/8-in. miter slot, and a steel base. It operated at 3,450 rpm, which was twice as fast as others. However, it was the noisiest sander tested and comes only with a 2-in. sanding drum.
