General International’s 75-100 benchtop drill press stood out for performance and ease of use in our tests. It has the best drilling power with the least runout (.002 in.). We rated it Best Overall. This model features a work light and the deepest chuck-to-post distance of the models tested.
The General comes with a lever that allows you to move the motor forward and back for belt changing ease. The mechanism for setting depth is excellent. If you can afford the $450 price, it’s the best you can buy.
