FWW Poll: Magazines, Web Sites Are Favorite Sources for Woodworking Information
Half of respondents say they usually learn about products and techniques from magazines.Magazines and Web sites are the leading sources of information for woodworking products and techniques, according to the latest poll on Knots, the online forum on FineWoodworking.Com. One in four of the 712 people who responded said they got their information from many sources, including woodworking shows and classes as well as publications and the Internet. The graph below gives the specifics:
Only four respondents said they used a local woodworking club as a source of information. Other respondents said they learned from family and friends, online forums such as Knots, even trial and error.
Polling on this question ended on April 22. The poll is an unscientific (but, we hope, thoroughly entertaining) part of FineWoodworking.com. There’s a new poll posted on the home page.
