If you’re one of the growing number of Web users who uses the Mozilla Firefox browser to surf the Web, then you might be interested in this cool add-on we came across that skins your browser with a walnut veneer.
The free download is available at Mozilla.org and only takes a few clicks to install.
It is a bit of a stretch to call this “walnut,” considering it isn’t a stunning example of grain and figure. But I do give the creator some credit for at least making it look like an open-grained wood.
The skin has become a cult hit with the woodworking crowd. Several woodworkers posted comments to the Mozilla site praising the add-on:
“Another life-long woodworker delighted to see this skin. Outstanding, (although the default is more quarter-sawn oak than “walnut”)”
“its the best yet, of course i’m a cabinet maker…”
