Grass’ Unisoft adjustable soft-close works with virtually any self-closing hinge.
With my bedroom over the kitchen, I’ve wanted those very cool (and expensive) soft-close cabinet hinges for years, but buying new cabinets or even new hinges wasn’t in the budget. Now there’s a very cool solution from Grass. Their Unisoft soft close can be added to older cabinets or used on new ones and they work with frameless and face-frame designs (any overlay). But the best part: they cost $2.50 each.
The rep working the booth gave me a pair to try out. I’ll let you know how they work. Maybe I can get them installed by Sunday, so I can get a little extra sleep this weekend.

Yes, please. I've been considering adding soft close units to my existing kitchen cabinets because I am tired of the ever-so-annoying cabinet door and drawer slamming. Let us know what you think. Will they fit drawers as well? Thanks, ATOMA
What's the fuss? Blum has had these for over a year.
You need to get outside the LV show. This tech is years old. Grass is the last too the table, mainly because of their purchase by Wurth.
Spend a little more time on your research and a little less listening to Rep's at trade shows.
Looks good to me. It's from the show, helpful to some of us and low cost. Thanks for the post! I'll be getting some to add to my existing cabinets.
? Where can I order these online or get them in CT?
Thank you.
Now everybody is an expert. If you know of another product that is available to consumers and this inexpensive, then put a reference in your note. For one, Blum is very expensive and their Web site does not list a soft closure units. If you are smarter than the rest of us and know so much, share the information with us. Thanks.
This is a great product. I have installed them throughout the house. They are smaller and look much better than the large Blum item. Yes Grass was not the first, but they got it right with their version. Stop by a Wurth distributor to get them.
Good luck finding a "Wurth Distributor" they only sell to the pro market. You won't see these on the retail market for some time. This product is new to the "pro" market and is by no means "finished". The best you can expect as a retail consumer is a soft close add on, like the grass one above. Many other companies have been doing this for some time. If I were to give an "expert" opinion (and, yes I am an expert as I have been in this field for 10+ years) I would go to a woodwork/cabinet specialty seller and look for the Blum clip on. It is the most readily available (if not necessarily the best) soft close hinge feature available to the end user today.
softclosesystems.com sells the Unisoft Pro version for somewhere around $3.00. Work like a charm!!
