To celebrate its newest exhibit, “Convenient and Fashionable: Furniture of Inland Massachusetts 1790-1830,” Old Sturbridge Village is hosting a special brunch with master carpenter Norm Abram.
Abram, of This Old House and New Yankee Workshop fame, is also a trustee of OSV, and many of the reproduction furniture projects built on The New Yankee Workshop were inspired by pieces in the OSV collection.
Fine Woodworking associate editor Patrick McCombe will be on-hand for the opening as well, with plenty of free issues. Look for his blog posts covering every aspect of the new exhibit.
Details:
• Saturday October 24, 2009 – 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• $65 per person, $55 for OSV members
• Advance registration is required. For more information, please visit Old Sturbridge Village.
And don’t forget to check Fine Woodworking issue 196 for Abram’s 20 essential tips on making kitchen cabinets.
