Whether you use glasses or not, reading the small lines on a scale can be downright difficult. To prevent anymore eye strain, take a piece of scrap wood and mill several pieces at different sizes. Using a permanent marker mark all of the pieces of the scrap kit with their appropirate sizes. These precisely milled pieces of wood can help with countless tasks in the workshop. For instance, you can use them to set the depth of cut by feel at the router table or tablesaw.
