The Fine Woodworking prize winner, Danny Kamerath's Christina Table
The 10th Annual Texas Furniture Makers Show awards ceremony was held on Nov 7, 2009 in Kerrville, Texas. The Judges’ Special Award sponsored by Fine Woodworking was won by Danny Kamerath of Dallas, for his Christina Side Table. Danny won a prize package of Fine Woodworking goodies valued at $400.
Some of the other winners include: First Place – Best of Show to John O’Brien from Boerne for his Ophelia Credenza; Second Overall Prize to Jeff Granberry from Houston for his Cocktail Table; and Third Overall Prize to Clark Kellogg also from Houston for his Vidar’s Chairs.
The juried show, which runs though December 5 at the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center, features 78 furniture pieces handcrafted by 58 furniture makers from Texas.
