Venerable North Bennet Street School in Boston is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. In honor of that milestone, Boston’s Gallery NAGA is sharing proceeds from its latest exhibit–“For North Bennet: A Benefit Exhibition of Studio Furniture”–with the school. Half the purchase price of each piece sold will be donated to NBSS.
The exhibit itself is worth a trip, with a list of makers that reads like a who’s who of woodworking, including hall-of-fame caliber designers Hank Gilpin, Gary Knox Bennett, Jere Osgood, Silas Kopf, and Miguel Gomez-Ibanez (who’s also president of the school). The exhibit runs from March 5 to the 27th. For more info, visit the gallery’s website.

Congrats to the school and to Miguel,
I graduated from Wesleyan Univ. in Middletown,Conn where I majored in chemistry. I got an MA degree with Miguel's father Jose GomezIbanez. One of my hobbies is woodworking and the other is ham radio. I have talked on the air with Miguel's brother but havent talked with him recently. I had hoped to visit Boston last year to pay a visit to the school and meet Miguel. I will try again this year!
Sincerely, Cliff Milner
