For the second consecutive year, a frequent contributor to Fine Woodworking’s online gallery has won a “Best in Show” ribbon at the Fine Furnishings Providence show.
Kevin Mack, who builds his own original designs in addition to a wide range of period reproductions, received the recognition in the show’s Traditional Furniture category. Mack was also among the show winners in 2009. His entries this year included designs inspired by mid-century modern, Danish modern and Art Deco pieces.
Mack, a 2008 graduate of Boston’s North Bennet Street School, also won an award at the 2007 show for best student work. He currently takes residential and commercial commissions from his shop in the Boston suburbs.
You can see more of Mack’s work online in the gallery or at his website. You can also see several pieces in person at the Possessions Gallery in Melrose, Mass.
