Oh man, that would be sweet to have!
I'll bite. This post has extra gravity. Please gravitate here.
Sure will be super to have all that history to fall back on!
Sure would like to win!
I'll give my review to all you guys once I win the disc!
The older editions were good. I thought they were a great resource.
I'd love to have this new set too.
I am inspired by the Tools and Shops article on the dedicated workshop for a lifetime hobby, but I need a DVD to go with it.
Nice - with the DVD I could get rid of that file cabinet of FWW issues in my shop, and make room for a jointer!
How much overlap is there between this and the Best of FWW DVD (2nd edition, 2006)? That had tips from Methods of Work--are those included on this disc?
Fantastic. The Keyword searching would be a big plus over paper copies.

great publications and on-line resource, keep up the good work.
That's an awesome prize. PLease count me in for the draw.
I'm still in shock that I did not win the Matt Kenney Caption Contest but winning the DVD Archive will help me get past that and move on with my life. Thanks,
Marc
This would be a fine edition to my library.
as a new beginer to woodworking this gift would help me a great way to get me started. thanks
This would make the load in my attic quite a bit lighter.
That would make it easier for me to find things, and free up a lot of shelf space.
With that DVD the projects would never end for me.
That would be a great prize. I could get rid of the stacks of magazines I have now plus see all the ones I missed. I would like to add that I think it would be a good idea to offer your subscribers an option of getting an annual current year CD version instead of the bimonthly paper version. Maybe we could save some trees.
If i win can i cancel my pre order of this archive.
Ok...I'll bite....yes I would like the complete set.... but isn't the complete set on your web site, and without all those old out-of-date ads, and with additional stuff like videos and blogs, and I like the search, and my notebook takes up less room than the DVDs will, and I'll have to find my external DVD player. And does it still work? And aren't DVD passe?
jim
This would be grate!!!
Receive the paper edition here in Brazil will cost me a lot of post money!!!
It's well known from the forums and other social media that Fine Woodworking has the best online content for woodworking period. The digital version of a magazine would be a lovely compliment to my hardcopy issues for quick indexing, quick search and easy of reference. Count me in for this offer!
outstanding deal from one of our favorites
What a tremendous resource for a learner like me to have! Pick me! :)
This is a must have!
Having this archite would be great. I'm always looking to past articles and plans.
If I get picked, I would be most pleased.
If I get picked, I would be most pleased.
Please write me in. I would love to have it, but to rich for a guy on disability.
I love Fine Woodworking. I want to win a copy.
What a fantastic prize! Keeping my fingers crossed.
Yay! Christmas is coming early.
Yay! Christmas is coming early.
Yay! Christmas is coming early.
This is exactly what I need.
Would love to win this. Got too many paper magazines I have to get rid of. I love Fine Woodworking!
This DVD would be the answer to my wife's desire to rid my bedside of a massive stack of magazines.
I am a new woodworker and a big fan of finewoodworking.com. The DVD collection would make my workshop the envy of the neighborhood.
Keep up the great videos and articles. Finewoodworking is the best resource for learning the "finer" skills!
Amy Harry
I'm a new woodworker and I've really enjoyed reading FWW for the informational articles and project ideas. I would love to add this DVD to my collection.
Very nice offer of the full DVD library of FWW. I often refer to previous years issues for ideas and reference. This would be a great addition to my library.
Me too. Please. :-)
I just got back into woodworking a few weeks ago and found this website. Great job and hope to win the DVD. Best of luck everyone!
Mark
would love to have this!
That would be absolutely awesome to win!
Very nice indeed. I would graciously accept this.
I'd love to win this - I've wanted very much to have the complete collection.
Thanks for making this possible!
Whether this an entitlement or a earned benefit, I will graciously accept it and put it to productive use.
I need one
I think the DVD would be fantastic to win and I would try to
put it to good use.
Cheers
what a complete woodworking library this would be!
need this one!
What a gold mine of useful information. It would be like having a trade school right in my laptop.
This would be fantastic. My FW magazines tend to migrate to various areas. Never can find the one I'm looking for. A single DVD to reference - marvelous baby!!
WOW, What Christmas gift this would be!!!
I'm new to the woodworking scene but I'm hooked. Like knowing a girl for many years and then one day....BANG!....she hits you like a ton of bricks...that's how it was for me. I've been messing around building doghouses and garden boxes without any real idea of what I was doing or what I wanted to accomplish. Fine woodworking has given me the info to be able to start building real furniture. And though its not 'fine' yet, I have seen my skills improve 1000% since signing up for the website
Hope I win.
Sorry guys, but that DVD set will be leave the shore of the USA and making it's way to me in South Africa!
Pick me! Pick me!
That would be sweet. Put my address and ship it to me!!!!
This sounds like a great resource.
i've never won a book but a dvd, it's different
please sign me up, thanks
Great contest, thanks FWW! If I win I could donate about 10 boxes worth of past issues I've got tucked away in threw attic.
I would love a copy of this, COUNT me in!
Thanks
The perfect Christmas gift for me.
I need that!
Would be awesome to own..
Thanks!
Sign me up please! Thank you.
I have every issue of FWW from #14 onward. I would love to replace the large stack with something more portable.
the perfect Christmas present ...for me!!
Put my name in the hat.
Sign me up! I need one of those.
Would love to own a complete archive of the most influential fine woodworking publication of modern history. Would love to be able to read the written thoughts, ideas and philosophies of renowned woodworkers such as Krenov and Frid, among others, on furniture design and construction techniques.
Count me in! This would be a great Christmas present for me.
This gift would definitely be good for me!
I'd really enjoy this- makes it easy to find old articles and research ideas and plans.
I have well over 200 issues of Fine Woodworking Magazine. I kept them all thinking I would be able to reference the various articles in the future. I "assumed" I would be able to remember which issue a particular article was in. Bad assumption. This would be a great tool.
Sign me up please
Merry Christmas me if I can win!
Put me in coach! Hey, what do you guys think of an online version of this dvd indexed in a similar fashion that can be subscribed to as an add-on to your online presence or regular subscription? Obviously, you would have to make it cheaper than owning the dvd and take something away to make people want to buy the dvd. Perhaps a limited number of pdf article downloads per month or something like that. I just like the idea of being able to thumb through the magazine in digital format for all printed years on say an iPad, but not having to own and maintain a $99+ dvd archive and then following years on dvd.
comment
You know, this DVD will be a whole lot easier than going through all of the back issues everytime I think I remember that there was an article that would answer a question or perform some technique.
Count me in.
Thanks, norm.
Great, I would love to win this.
Count me in! I have the previous one but would love to have the latest!!
I have issues 26 through current on my bookshelf
within easy reach but they're tedious to search for a specific article or subject. I'd love to have the computerized version for speed's sake.
This would be sweet! One DVD to replace an entire shelf full of magazines. My wife can even appreciate that.
I hear Santa!!
I gave my collection to my local library for their book sale. It took up too much room and took forever to find what I wanted. The DVD is the way to go!
Hey, here's my comment. I could really use this.
Yes, please.
I would LOVE to have this! Please count me in.
Please throw my name in the hat.
Thank you,
Luther Newberry
would love to win this and give it to someone for Christmas
Fine Woodworking is my go-to resource above all other magazines. I look to FW for tool reviews, projects, techniques, resources, etc. It would be huge to get the DVD. Up to now I somehow haven't been able to justify the expense.
I would love to have the Fine Woodworking Archive.
Would be a great addition.
This would be a valuable resource. Count me in!
Please count me in.
Looks likes the odds of winning are declining fast, but if you don't play you can't win, so count me in.
What a valuable and convenient resource this would be! Would love to include this in my reference library.
Would love to have this valuable resource in addition to my online subscription and huge stack of back issues.
My Father-in-law passed away last fall and he and I would spend ages discussing articles in FW. He had every copy of FW ever published. Alas my mother-in-law in her effort to get the house ready for showing found all his FW and gave them away Arrrrhhh!!!! so owning a copy of FW on DVD would allow me to reminisce vertually and recall those fun discussions.
Thanks for a great magazing!
While I love print magazines, a DVD with all past issues would be a real space and time saver! Being able to search all issues and just print what I need is, in my opinion, where the future lies!
Thanks for the offer of this drawing. I would like to have these DVDs and the information the contain.
Instead of the DVD, why not put it on web, index it and make it searchable?
Being a woodworking and construction teacher, many of my students would benfit from the knowledge and tips that I would gain from this DVD set. Count me in please.
Count me in; would be great to have.
This would be fantastic.
As a side-note, I've always sort of wondered whether the contents of the comments matter or if you just "throw them into a hat and draw one"?
hi My birthday is not too far away, that would be a fantastic birthday present
Pick Me! Pick Me! Pick Me!
Please
I like have one as well. Please count me in.
Should have a great number of hints, plans, ideas from all those years.
This would be a love/hate opportunity. Love to recycle all those old magazines. Hate not to have a reason to get that book case finished :-)
I would love to get a copy of this DVD!
Would treasure the Fine Woodworking DVD!
Please sign me up to win a DVD. Thanks.
As a chance to spread the Fine Woodworking magazine to the far side of the Earth, A Kiwi would have pleasure in winning this.
Great! Count me in!
As I've grown my skills in woodworking, I've definitely learned to appreciate FWW more and more. Other magazines are OK to start you out...., but when you're ready to step up your game it's time to start reading FWW.
Nice prize. Count me in please.
would to have the info in my shop for a quick look up.have the last few years of mag on hand and an on line membership. now if I could just add the dvd.

People ask me when am I going to retire?
My answer is that I do not believe in retirement,
Why would I retire from my work that I love doing.
The Fine Woodworking Archive DVD-ROM (1975 – 2011)
would add to my knowlege and enjoy my craft even more.
What a great resource, I'm down.
yes
What a treasure trove! Count me in, please.
Put my name in the hat! Thanks..
Please include me, I'd be forever grateful!
Please count me in.... I've got some 28 years of FW on my bookshelf
I would be honored to be included.
The future is built upon the past.
The Fine Woodworking DVD-ROM Archive (1975-2011) is the best source of woodworking subject-matter available for anybody wishing to maintain an historical special collection eLibrary.
Woodcraft artificers, artisans and artists should not be without such a fine collection of ePublications.
Regards to all,
DB

Very generous of you. Thank you.
Useful to have such splendid magazines on disk
with currently being in Afghanistan, FWW is my way of still enjoying wood while all my tools are back home. Thanks for the knowledge!
Wonderful giveaway. Let's hope someone worthy gets it.

Yes. I agree with the last comment; hopefully someone who could otherwise not purchase it, wins.
Thank you for these contests.
Please count me in. I have 30 years of Fine Woodworking but have no easy way to find the articles. Keep up the good work, and thanks!
Rod Prior
Alright! No more going to the storage room to dig through back issues looking for that illusive article!
Thanks, that's a very generous offer.
It would help me free up a lot of shelf space in my bookcases.......Rod.
I Love the DVD versions as you can searchthrouh them so easily. I would love to have this one in my collection.
This is a great idea. Easy to information is a winner!
I have been a subscriber to FW since its first issue and have saved all my issues. For people like me, it would be nice to be able to purchase just the index at a reduced price. Now that I'm retired, I am reluctant to spend $100-150 on a product that duplicates editorial content that I already own. However, a comprehensive index alone would be a great resource.
[Raises hand.] Me! Me! ;-)
I would consider myself very fortunate to get these past issues from you guys. I am going to add these to my Christmas wish list with my wife to increase my odds. As a member of the website I have only gained.
I just finished renovating my house and am getting my first woodshop together. This would really help get my skills where I would want them to be.
Want it!!!!
Yes please
I would love one :)

Love the site so far - can't wait to dig into it more.
Sign me up!
This would keep me busy for months!
Love the magazine...there is so much talent out there!
Wow. 1975? Is the 1970s stuff written in Olde English? What a great item. The thought of having such a wealth of knowledge on tap is almost unfathomable and I really really really hope I win.
This would give me something to read at work...
I would love to have this! I'm just starting out and have a lot i still need to learn
Thanks for this offer - the winner will really be fortunate to have this treasure trove of knowledge.
That's a lot of fantastic woodworking literature in one place. Not to mention a ton of history. Count me in!
What better way to quickly index and search for the best content from our favorite magazine. Please count me in!
I would love to have the dvd's as I can't seem to get enough info. Thanks for the possibility to get a free set
What a great prize. An early christmas present.
Fine Woodworking is not just a magazine, but a reference guide with valuable information that is helpful through the test of time. I am as excited to get the new issues today, as I was in 1975 receiving the first issue. Adding a quick reference guide is a great idea and all issues on a single DVD, I want it.
Thanks
There are so many articles I reference from back issues, this would be the perfect tool for searching tips and tricks, tool comparisons, and project instructions. Pick me, pick me!
What a great resource. All the back issues at your fingertips!
Fine Woodworking Magazine,
I am very excited for having this opportunity of
winning the DVD set. Having every FW magazine on
one DVD would be a dream come true. I know that my wife
will truly appreciate that she will not have to pick
up and organize my FW magazines after I am through
reading them every month.
Thanks,
Cam
Hmmm. That would save me from unpacking the boxes of FWW I still haven't opened since we moved!
Am shamelessly subscribing for a chance to win the DVD; have both online and print subscriptions but I guess neither of those will work on a plane when I need my FWW fix!
Having 2 bookcase full of FWW & FHB colected over the years, I would be nice to have a digital version of these wonderful magazines as it will make it easier to find a specific article. Best of Luck to the winner !
Yow! The DVD would let me use the monitor I built into my workbench this year - I knew this day was coming; with the DVD I'll be able to reference the articles right while I am at the bench working!
I missed out on the first 75 issues, so this would fill in the blanks.
I had a subscription many years ago when I was young and didn't know much about woodworking. I am trying to get back into it as I am now nearing retirement. I wish I had stayed with the subscription all of these years as my skill level would be so much better.
I'd love to win the dvd. I'd also love to know where the see-through vacuum hose in the modern workbench video can be found.
Woodworking was a passion as a kid. Now in my adulthood with the stresses of branch managment I've been getting back into it with delite. I've been finding that FWW is one of the best sources out there and such a DVD would be a fabulous tool added to the shop!
The DVD would be a phenomenal resource to any woodworker!! Hope I get to win it.
Count me in
I can just imagine the articles and craftsmanship that is contained on this DVD, it will be really interesting to go back in time and look at the popular projects of the time.
Can't wait to see it
Please add me to the drawing.
If I win it might take me a few days to read it all. ;)
A great resource. All the back issues for reference!
Thanks for the opportunity to win the magazines DVD collection.
Please add me to the drawing.
Thanks.
What a great addition to my library that "wood" be.
Count me in--I need some new ideas!
Sure, I'd like one.
How cool is this!
What a great resource for any woodworker! This would make a great library addition.
Sure beats a box full of old magazines!
Thanks for the opportunity. I am a new subscriber and just received the latest issue.
Great!
Cheers
My favorite project remains the hammock support in the form of a Dragon Prow Ship. I keep hoping one day to have enough skill to build one for myself.
This would save a lot of space in my shop and give me a quick way to find articles
The dvd would be easier than going through boxes of old issues. Although may initial issue are the hard cover since I only startred with about issue 6.
This is the perfect way to clear several shelves on my woodworking bookcase.
I have the magazine from #1...the DVD would be easier...
Randomly choose me ...
Woot!
Woot!
Heck of a deal. Sign me up!
Great deal. I could clear out a whole bookshelf.
I have every copy of Fine Woodworking except #1.
I is getting to be a problem to store them.
I heard a comment that said we were now in the second
Gutenberg era. It seemed very true. This an example
J_
Great magazine; CD would be a lot more flexible.
If win, my wife will have to say goodbye... or join me as an assistant in the shop!
I've got every issue since number 1 on paper....it would be great to get the DVD with all the issues and be able to look up stuff almost instantly... Thanks for the chance.
this dvd would be great! my wife would love me to get rid of almost 25 years of magazines
Wow....pick me, pick me! Best WW magazine out there.
I've been saving FWW for several years now so i have access to the plans and Ideas. If i win this my wife will be happy because the current pile upstairs and the bigger one in the basement can go away.
Shucks, pick me! I'll write you an honest review.
Fine Woodworking Magazine was and always will be my primary source for reference, ideas and technical knowledge. I am in the process of re-arranging my shop to include an Office/Computer station. Wouldn't it be too cool to have every FWM for a fast, handy resource right there in my shop! If it weren't for FWM I would still be a beginner instead of a professional who has made her living for over 25 years with her hands, wood, and Fine Woodworking Magazine.
Love the website. Easy access, lots of great projects.
Wow! A copy of the entire library of the Best magazine ever!
What a great giveaway!!! Good luck to all who posted a comment!!!
What a great opportunity an addition to access to the website!!
As a stay at home dad I am currently overwhelmed by my twin 3 year old boys. FWW is always my first stop when researching a new project so the DVD version would be more than helpful! Thanks for a great publication.
Here's my shot at it, great magazine, would be awesome to have all the issues that I don't already have.
This would certainly be a DVD worth having and to win it would be extra sweet. So here is my entry and thank you for making this possible.
Sign me up!
I would totally love to win this. I've been inches away from getting it, but other things always take financial priority.
This would make the little lady very happy
I always want to have this set of DVD. Many times I almost bought it, but didn't want to get yelled at. It will be a dream come true if I can win it. Thanks.
I'd love this. Having all the articles on my laptop, and searchable would be perfect.
would love to win
Was just going thru my dad's old collection of mags, would love to have the 21st century model!
This looks like a very valuable product. Sign me up for the contest!
A digital archive would be great tool for researching techniques and for brainstorming. I like having my pile of old FWW magazines for browsing, but they are not very handy when seeking a particular article or topic.
Thanks for the good work(s).
Nice contest!!
Having recently retired from farming for over 40 years and having more time to do my favorite hobby of woodworking, this DVD would be a great addition to my shop.
I could really use that DVD.
I have subscribed to Fine Woodworking for several years, recently the electronic version. I really value it and wood love to have the whole collection.
Wow, that is a lot of projects. It would take me at least 36 years to finish them all.
I would love to have this DVD.
WOW!!! Fine Woodworking website is the best. The videos, techniques, tool guides, plans, etc. are the best and most comprehensive out there. Thanks for all the available info in one location! Keep up the effort and great work.
THANKS!!!
Retired, moving from house to condo apartment. Will be using my son's garage as a workshop; I need all the help I can get in designing a shop under such conditions. FW has been a great help in the past; I look forward to more of the same. Thanks!
This site is awesome and only 99.95 for 36 years is fantastic. I have hard copy for about 20 years but being able to locate what I wanted to see has been a bear. Now it will be easy. I guess I'll probably end up subscribing again. I have not gotten FWW for a few years. Been side tracked but time to get back into it this winter
So, just give it to me already.
Did I win?
Fine Woodworking magazine and site are awesome! I've stopped most of my other magazines, but won't give up FWW! This online copy would make finding articles a lot easier and give me access to the months I'm missing!
I would LOVE to have this! Sign me up!
Now I can have every issue from the beginning to the very latest and greatest of Fine Woodworking. Some of the older articles I would like to read, but for the life of me, just can't seem to find them, even at the public library. To have every issue right at my fingertips would be incredible and just "plane" COOL! Plus, even if I don't win, you guys knocked fifty bucks off the regular price, which I can afford right now, but let's face it, it would be better to get it for free. Hope I win. Paul
The search feature is really great. I have so many old copies of Fine WW - but having this DVD would sure free-up a lot of room!!! I'd love to win it....
My first visit to your sight. Love the power tool user's table. Great site.
I could really use this collection to expand my woodworking knowledge.
I'm getting to the age now when I am serious about entering my wood phase (no this is not a little blue pill reference).
I've been a car guy forever but I find that I really enjoy building things out of wood. I recently bought my first table saw and my first router. The Fine Woodworking magazine always inspires me with the creative projects and wonderful examples of people's skill and effort. I would love to have the 36 year's worth of this magazine at my finger tips.
You have the best of all the woodworking magazines. Keep up the good work.
Hope that I can win.
comment
The DVDs are great! I'd love to get the 2011 version.
FW gives me a lift each month. Thanks folks.
I have most of the magazines since 75 in hardcopy and could never find what I was looking for until I bought the 75-08 archive DVD. I still subscribe to the print version but I really don't want to buy the annual archive updates as well. It would be great if print subscribers could get a significant discount on the annual archive DVD (or dream on ... get it for free). Its an extraordinary magazine, I guess that's why I've been getting it for so long. Keep it up.
Would like very much to win this. 33+ years of hard copies are getting hard to manage.
Hey, it's not as cool as winning a SawStop, but I'll take it! This would be awesome.
I would love to have this fantastic compendium...
Maybe not the holy grail, but close enough--and no deadly ambushes and supernatural threats to worry about!
As a self taught woodworker over the past 18 years I can truly say Fine Woodworking Magazine and Online Membership have taught me a wealth of knowledge. Like the blog today on cutting rabbets on curved drawer fronts. That was invaluable.
I "wood" be ecstatic to have this great resource in my library. Please consider me.
I "wood" be ecstatic to have this great resource in my library. Please consider me.
I have been receiving FFW magazine since the beginning. This is a great addition to have the electronic version.
A great resource, I do have the first version(CD) which does not have the last several years, and missed a lot of early material.
Thanks for the offer
Regards
Peter
Awesome prize. I am in South Africa so I have to read all the publications online as the magazine is difficult to find here, getting all the pat publications would be great!
I used to think the stuff in Fine Woodworking was far above my skill level, but with excellent articles and some practice I think the archive would be a great idea right about now.
What can I say that hasn't already been said I am looking at fine woodworking inset of the tv.".enjoyable.

I'll go for it!
Fine Woodworking has done it again more great content, hoping to win the giveaway but if I don't it'll be in my library some day.

Just subscribed on Summer this year and received my first two issues. Unfortunately still waiting for the next ones - hopefully it is delayed on the way but not lost (I live in Russia). Reading a lot of woodworking sources on-line and "on paper" - Fine Woodworking is really the highest level and the most interesting Magazine I know. Would be happy to win this CD! Good luck to everyone as well!
First!
er....
Hello FWW,
I'm new to woodworking and a subscriber since 4 months. Until now, I've made a wooden pinhole camera and a bench for my daughter. I ordered some books at your site to learn the techniques and how to design.
So it would be great to win this hugh archives with knowledge, examples, tips, techniques, etc.
I want to build a non-liniair table and I'm sure I'll find examples on this DVD to make my own design.
I hope I'll win ;-)
(And if so, I'll let you know what it did for me)

This is a great opportunity for me, not only to throw my name in the hat but also to voice the great appreciation I have for "Fine Woodworking". I am overseas with the military and subscribing to the magazine and expecting to receive it is often problematic...my subscription to the online newsletter is the guaranteed method for receiving surely and on time the excellent information found in "Fine Woodworking". I am building a home in northwestern Pennsylvania and the information from "Fine Homebuilding" (I have that DVD) and "Fine Woodworking" is crucial to much of my planning. Please keep up the great work, particularly bringing to all of us the real life advice and experiences of the many craftsmen that appear in each edition.
Is it possible to print out the articles?
Yippe - I really wish I could get this archive - it is a dream come true
Sure would beat going through over two hundred issues to find something I need to know.
FW and it's companion publication FHB are superbly crafted magazines month after month: art, photography, writing and insightful articles and reviews. I am always delighted to see one in my mailbox and never put it down without first gettng a glimpse of what is promised inside! Thanks.
Semper Fi!
FWW Folks, Thank you for the oppurtunity to expand my woodworking skills. Since I re-discovered my passion for woodworking I have made FWW an integal part of the education experience. Having learned the basics in high school (30 yrs ago) and some advanced skills, FWW introduced me to new techniques, tools, and skills that were long forgotten or not yet developed when I last fiddled around in the hobby. FWW also played a big part in my new tool purchases as they provided valued reviews and trials by your staff. I've only been subscribing for 2 years now (this being my 2nd year) but subscribing to FWW online has allowed me access to archived stories from stories I have missed during my gap years of woodworking. I hope to make this a retirement business in a few years and FWW will be a big part of that.
FW is the most useful magazine I have ever subscribed to! It has helped me, tremendously, to develop my woodworking skills beyond what I ever imagined. I'm even beginning to make a little money selling projects, which I never dreamed of doing. I'm a lifetime subscriber - keep up the good work.
Fine Woodworking is the key to my education. I'm about ready to start my second career and I still have a lot to learn. You guys are always the first place I look for information.
i really enjoy your e-mails, so i would like the dvd even more. thank you.
Even though I own almost the entire run, I would truly love to have the PDFed versions. They'd make it a perfect complement to the HP TouchPad I use in the shop to display plans and build notes.
Fine Woodworking is the source for information for serious woodworkers. Their photographic and drawing presentations are unmatched by any other sources and their subject matter is relevant. Keep up the good work.

Me too.
As a beginner woodworker, I have found the printed copies as well as the emails very helpful in showing me the proper way of doing things, and pointing out the mistakes I have made in the past and how to avoid them going forward.
I would love to win this invaluable resource!
i have all the mags from day one(in my two locations- maine usa and cape town south africa.)
i need the dvd for my travels
A friend of mine got this last year and said it was invaluable. I was super glad when it went on sale.
Please let me win. Lost all my back issues in my shop fire.
I would like to have this DVD!
As a charter subscriber with all of the originals it would be great to have computer access to past articles instantly.
I've subscribed to eight different woodworking magazines for a number of years. While each have different style and focus I must rank Fine Woodworking as the best.
endeavor to persevere
As an online and magazine subscriber, I love F&W!
This is great; please count me in.
Very cool! Maybe this would be just the thing needed to get me back in the woodshop. (it's hard to get the desire/time to get back at it with a 16 month old.)
Fine Woodworking online is my wood encyclopedia. This DVD would make my encyclopedia mobile.
Just started woodcraft and need all the knowledge I can get :)
Great tips and videos keep it up. It would be nice to have them at your finger tips.
Once again, I'm reminded why Fine Woodworking is, far and away, the best woodworking resource and magazine available. Another great job, guys!
I've run into problems in woodworking from time to time it always seems Fine Woodworking comes to the rescue. So having this Archive DVD would be great.
I'm now retired and I still can't find the time I want to spend in the workshop! Would love to have this library!
Would love to win it. Count me in!
I would love this!!
I would love to win this!
Oooo, pick me! pick me!
In the early years, you have a couple of articles on building a pendulem clock completely our of wood. All the gears and intenal mechanisms would be cut from wood. I have always wanted to do this. I have since those days lost the articles but am now ready to try this project.
A copy of the complete set of magazines would be a great first step.
cjg ,Iwould love to win this dvd.
It would be a great help to me if I could win this great library of back issues.
Lots of comments here!
This DVD would be an excellent resource of a great magazine. Here's hoping that I win it! ;)
What a fantastic solution to just one of my growing storage problems...magazine storage! Some of the others are tools and timber!
Post this!
I love all the magazines Taunton Press produces. I have subscribed to several over the years. I'd love to complete my collection of Fine Woodworking with the DVDs.
I'm in! This would be so awesome to have. Thanks for the opportunity!

I cannot imagine all the wisdom and technical data, pictures and "how-to" this DVD will contain. What a wonderful offer!!! Count me in.
This would be a great Christmas present.
Wow! This would be a great gift to win.
I want one
I always thought this was a good idea but you should provide it at a nominal cost - $150 is too much. A lot of mags give a yearly index for free!
TK
Can't wait to use it!
No more storing old magazines for reference? Yippeee!
The disk is great. However, for those of us who have purchased it previously, there does not seem to be a process by which we can update it for issues published since the purchase of the disk.
There should be a way to purchase a disk with the current years or a heavy discount for earlier purchasers who want to keep current if the only way is to purchase a completely new disk.
Perhaps a way to download the additional issues after you have purchased the disk and loaded it onto your computer?
Nice. I would find a way to move-up my retirement date so I could spend time improving my woodworking skills and making the projects shown in the archive DVD's.
There are only a few magazines whose back issues would be worth keeping and one of those magazines is Fine Woodworking (and Fine Homebuilding for that matter). But there certainly is just a limit on how much room you can give up for magazines! And I have definitely reached my limit! The collection of all the past issues (at least all relative to right now) would be an awesome addition. Having it on the computer also means that I can take my laptop down to the shop and have full access there. My fingers are crossed!
Yeah Baby! As the man said: FW is like porn for men over 50.
Just what I need for my shop.
I actually have the Archive from 2 years ago and would certainly like to update it for free! It is an awesome resource allowing quick searching, comprehensive info on any subject and truly great browsing just for fun.
Count me in. FWW is the best!
Done.
Love to have this collection on DVD. I have most magazines, missing the earlier ones. Great refereance material.
This would be a great addition to my collection!
Hello,
Fine Woodworking is the finest woodworking magazine I know of! I have been receiving it at home for almost 3 years now.
Before that, I had to go to the library to read it but I would appreciate very much to see the magazines I have miss for a long time...
Thank you for the chance you're giving me to win the DVD!
This would certainly come in handy and get the wife off my back about clearing out a lot of those old magazines.
What a wonderful resource! 35 years on one disk. No more fretting over those magazines I lost or loaned out, never to see again.
This solve the problem of the missing issues and going through 30years of the documents. Have you noticed that they just magically mis-sort themselves on the shelve ;>)
This would be great to have. My wife would be thrilled to clear out some of my Fine Woodworking so she can more easily store her Fine Cooking...
Thanks, Fine Woodworking, I have learnt so much from you already, but with the dvd archive, I could learn even more from you.
Love your magazine. I have all of them from day one. I would love to have your disk for searching articles.
would love to have this - refer to back issues all the time
Wow! This Archive DVD would be great!! I have a large collection of Fine Woodworking magazines, and this DVD would be like getting the Christmas Catalog when I was a kid.. P S - Thats how I am about the magazine. Thanks for
great content.
What a great resource for any woodworker. Pick me!
It would be great to win this!!
I've been missing my back issues a bunch. They got boxed up and sent to storage. Can't guess where I should look first. The dvd would always stay accessible -- something my back issues haven't been able to do!
Much easier than searching through dozens of back issues. A great resource.
Much easier than searching dozens of back issues. A great resource
Count me in!
What a great resource that would be!
I could throw away those paper copies, you know the ones my wife keeps telling me to do somtething with. Ok maybe not, but at least donate them to someone else.
Any giveaway is a good thing.
This is a great give away! I'd love to have that archive. Thanks for the opportunity.
That's a great give away. Thanks for the opportunity.
I use my 2009 version of this CD all the time, I would love the update!
Hi,
I REALLY hope I win because it's hard to do woodworking when you've crossed your fingers!
-Mick's Da
With "all" the knowledge posted by you guys in these articles I could most certainly use this DVD. My knowledge and experience can use all the help it can get. LOL I used to hate woodwork as a young man, now I can't seem to get enough of it.
This would be a great resource, 35 years worth of knowledge at your finger tips.
There is probably tips and projects in there that I have never even thought about that I could do and please SWMBO.
Where do I find that article? How many times have I said that? Many! In the office, garage selves, work bench, etc. ?? I'm 71 and time is running out. I really could use that DVD. James Logan
The DVD will be great but I will still love the magazine.
It sure would be great to have the DVD instead of keeping all the paper copies that have articles that I want to go back and review
Ira
I have a complete set of the magazine. My son is a woodworker also, so for Christmas last year I gave him the DVD so that he can access the valuable information from his home
Having this DVD would fill in over 3 decades of missing magazines for me. I would love to see all the projects and articles from years past!
This is a great idea. Gives you a good look at who likes the content of your materal. What fool woodworker wound'nt want this CD.
I like the idea. It will fill in my missing issues.
Hope I win.
This would be a prayer answered for me. I used to hard bind my magazines each year. Started in 1986. But after my third of five children it got too expensive. Also sounds like a great way to find articles in those older issues. Please count me in too!
I like Fine Woodworking and their articles. always lots of good information and tips.
I love the mag. and have saved them for over twenty yr. for referance. To have them all on a digital file would be amazing.
I've been working in the Middle East for the last couple of years and can't wait to get home for good to my wood shop. I'm a FWW online subscriber so in the mean time I enjoy the emails I receive from FWW and the great videos and links to keep my enthusiasm stoked.
Thanks!
I Have several years of Fine Woodworking Mag. on DVD and it's a great resource. To have them all would give me instant access to any problem or question I have from my peers, what a gift!
The opportunity to win this CD of all the information contained in Fine Woodworking magazine's years is great! It certainly would be a huge benefit to anyone who loves woodworking, especially someone like me who has been attempting to increase my skill level. I started woodworking only a few years ago and really enjoy it. Actually, subscribing to Fine Woodworking for a number of years was what convinced me that pursuit of woodworking was a worthy activity in that it gives one a chance to be creative while developing fine skills that could result in some beautiful and worthwhile projects. My projects to date have been a small desk insert modifying an existing credenza, and several boxes for my grand children's treasures. So, this journey toward excellence in woodworking has been exciting and most challenging. However, I am still working with a positive attitude with hopes of getting a little better with each project. In any case, I am having fun. Now, if we can just find wood that is good and cheap, some more time to pursue the fun stuff, and some money to buy the desired (needed tools) that we all drool over, life will be even better.
After 2 lower back surgeries I live in a world of pain but I use FWW as a pain control method.Woodworking and audio books keeps the mind occupied so when I have to sit (which is very often) I read FWW Magazine which has improved the quality of projects that I have created. To have the past 35 years of FWW on DVD wood be a lot of fun researching different ways to create new projects. I'm not holding my breath on winning this DVD but rather send this info to my Daughter in Law to put it on top of my Christmas list.
I like the idea of a workshop with a computer library. With a modem & a laptop, I can access ideas while I'm in the shop. This DVD would be a fantastic addition.
Would be a great addition to get the previous edition of your magazine that I don't have, Thanks for the opportunity
Hey, Wow!!!!! what a deal. Hope to be the lucky winner!!!! ooohhh,,oooohh pick me , pick me
Hey, Wow!!!!! what a deal. Hope to be the lucky winner!!!! ooohhh,,oooohh pick me , pick me
Hey, Wow!!!!! what a deal. Hope to be the lucky winner!!!! ooohhh,,oooohh pick me , pick me
I need this!
I'm in!! This is a great opportunity to gain from so many past issues. Thank you!
win it or buy it - either way I'm gonna have it!
who would not love this dvd
I would love to own this DVD...more than all the other guys and gals! Thanks for the chance to win it.
Love to win this.
Being a disabled Vet who has fallen in love with woodworking; this would really help me "get off the ground" in my skills and really have fun. Here's hoping!!
This would be an amazing resource and more convenient than sorting through paper magazines.
I've always loved to hold the real thing in my hand, but my collection is so large that my wife is pressuring me to cut back on my multible collections. The price has come down and I am considering putting the paper up for sale and getting the X and O addition. Keep up the good work.
Hopefully I won't spend more time at the computer than in the shop when I win this.
The DVD drive has actually packed up on my laptop but, if I win, it'll be worth buying a whole new machine just to access all that wisdom and info.
Sign me up. What a prize!
The information available on this set is invaluable and should be included in every artisans kit. Thanks for the opportunity to be included.
best regards
This would be awesome to win!
I could certainly use this- my hardcopies got flooded out!!
this bench looks great It would sure keep things handy and more efficient.
Would love to have this. Then I could read issues I've missed
Would love to have this set!
Demonstrably Valuable Database
What an fantastic offer. Count Me in.. Just think, those issues I missed or red till they fell apart. I could see them again.
Collecting articles on Improving your shop layout, making jiggs and fixtures are as interesting to me as having plans to make a furniture project. This DVD puts all that info in one spot for storage and review. Sometimes just browsing through a shop article is as relaxing as working on a project. I have learned a lot about hand tools and techniques as well as making the cuts for a project from these ariticles.
FW has been my favorite woodworking magazine for years and to have all this information at my finger tips on my computer would be both an honor to win and very useful in
the shop. Thanks keep up the good work.
Terry
What a great deal. My wife would love to have me move my reference magazines from the office to the storeroom
Maybe this time...:>)
I'd love to win. I wouldn't leave my workbench for years.
We bought the 1975 to 2008 and love it. An upgrade would be great!!!
Thanks fore the great offer
Would be great to win
Perfect present for the husband that's a pain in the tukis to buy for. I'd love to win.
I really need to win this. FWW is far and away my favorite magazine and reference. If I had not lost my job a few months ago, I would just buy a copy. But now I am back working but at half the salary I was making, so magazines have to get in the priority que behind a lot of other necessities..
As a long-time subscriber this would be a great asset!
As a long-time subscriber this would be a great asset!
If I win this, can I then bring myself to get rid of the back issues on my shelf? If I do, do I count the savings in inches of shelf space, or pounds of recycled paper?
This cd would be great to have. The ability to search quickly for all the articles would be a big time saver.
Outstanding! Would love to have this.
This is a great giveaway and hopefully Int customers will also have a chance...
As a High School Technology Education teacher I cannot tell you how much your publication and free plans have meant to me and my students. Thank you and keep up the high standards.
great dvd. would be a wonderful addition to my woodworking hobby.
What a resource to have in the library!
Sounds good.
As a newbie to woodworking, this would be an invaluable resource. Of the many woodworking resources I have been using, FW is the best.
I've enjoyed your magazine all my working life, I would really love to have this DVD.
Regards, Mark
Anxious to see if I win this extraordinary library of information
What could be easier for a great prize? Thanks FWW, Mickey
I thing DVD w/index is a great idea and will save a lot of
storage space!
I've already pre ordered this DVD, but it will sure make a great gift for a woodworking friend.
Great giveaway
sounds great! I have an archive, and it looks fantastic! I was wondering if anyone else was having any troubles opening up the pages and magazines? I'm new at woodworking, but I am catching on, but these computers are way past anything I got used to working in the bush.....Any kind of help would sure be appreciated! And I hate to rain on the parade here, but I couldnt find any help sections? the whole continuing archive sounds great!
Halfprice: I'll get someone from Customer Service to contact you about your archive issues. --Betsy
I currently own the 1975-2010 version and I find the 2011 upgrade cost of $20 too expensive for the one year upgrade. If you are a current subscriber which means you already paid for the issues, the upgrade CD should be less than $10 or just shipping and handling. I also believe many subscribers would prefer to receive their issues as PDF’s only, no paper like many other subscriptions (i.e. Popular Woodworking). Certainly anyone interested in purchasing the archive would be. I certainly am. This is of course unless Taunton Press wants to charge its subscribers twice for every issue. This may make me drop Fine Woodworking if it is not changed.
Man o man I really would love to win this! Your Gunna make someone happy, that's for sure!
Think FWW is the best magazine ever.....sure wish there was a free hardcopy index as part of the the last annual issue--sure would help out us loyal subscribers. I'd buy the DVD if it was under $35 but hard to justify as a "must have" at $100....please enter me in the drawing to win the DVD.
This would be fantastic to win. When FWW comes in the mail its like therapy from the every day stress. Keep the good and practical articles coming.
Hi all!
Someone told me that in issue 1 or 2 there was an idea to build a router jig for use with a lathe that had the router on a pivot coming down on top of the piece and arced down on top and slid down the bed way. Does anyone possibly have that original article or plan kicking around? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

Hi, I have a FWW Archive 1975-2008 edition. I tried to load it onto my MacBook Pro w/Intel processor and was told it no longer supports PowerPC applications. How do I overcome this? Can I buy an upgrade to the edition I have?
Chuck
Wow looks fantastic
is there a new upgrade available?
who won?
