The 60-1⁄2 is a step up from its cousin, the 102. It’s bigger, which means more weight and a bigger blade, making the plane more efficient at tackling wider surfaces. An adjustable mouth allows you to dial in the opening for different situations (wider for coarse work; narrow for tricky grain). All adjustments were smooth and precise, and the tool is very well-balanced and comfortable to hold.
