Love the dovetail detail and jig.
Be careful! A little trigonometry on the shelf standard drawing indicates an angled cut of 55 degrees from vertical, but the shelf support drawing shows a 45 degree cut. These should match! Make both cuts at 45 degrees and change the 1-1/8" dimension on the standard to 7/8".
Good project, OK plans, and decent videos but do not rush into this without being careful.
stevek2, do you mean change the 1-1/8" to 1-3/16"? 5/16 (vertical face) + 7/8 (height of support) = 1-3/16.
Thanks, Jeff, and for teaching this great project. Great job and please do more

I really enjoy this video—it’s informative, well-explained, and has some useful tips that have served me on many different projects!
Thanks Jeff
I have enjoyed using many of your techniques and tips on several projects since I follow you on Finewoodworking and have taken one of your courses up at your shop in Chicago.
