@Matt- thanks for the great plan and video series. This will be my first project tackled from finewoodworking. My plan is to start with the mission bed and then build a matching stair and loft bed, in matching style, for my sons. Is the sketchup file you've shared in pdf available to edit in sketchup? i'm new to sketchup as well and it would be awesome to start with what you've created and work on extending it.
Hi, Matt. Great series, with good tips. The horizontal router for doing tenons is good! I built a bow arm Morris Chair, similar to the one in the intro. A curved top bed could be OK, if the curve was gentle, like the chair, rather than the more pronounced curve on your model. You could also have true or faux tenons above the posts as a feature.
