I wrote recently about the abundance of woodworking talent in the Golden State. Well, here’s more proof: just a handful of images from an array of great work exhibited at the Artistry in Wood show that wraps up this weekend in Santa Rosa, California.
“Artistry” is the annual showcase for the Sonoma County Woodworkers Association, north of San Francisco. This year’s show featured 48 pieces from highly talented entrants including Michael Cullen, Craig Thibodeau and David J. Marks. Fast company indeed.
Judging the work were turner Elliot Landes, furniture maker Roger Heitzman and Laura Mays, furniture maker and director of the fine woodworking program at College of the Redwoods. Check out the photos above or, if you’re near the Sonoma County Museum in Santa Rosa this weekend, drop in and visit the show. There’s plenty to see.
