In the last Part 3 of this series, I showed making the full-length Side and End components for the Williamsburg Knife Box. I also copied and flipped these components and placed on a full width box Base component.
In this Part 4, I show the start of the corner dovetail joinery. The following video demonstrates the layout and completion of the dovetail pins on each end of the Side component. The pin layout is done “by eye” as demonstrated in Williamsburg by the cabinetmakers and joiners.

The next installment will show the making of the matching dovetail sockets in the End component.
I finished the box in Silver Maple – finish is linseed oil, then seedlac shellac.
