AWFS: Rockler Takes Glue-Tech to the Next Level
When Rockler released its silicone glue brushes last year, woodworkers began snapping them up in a flash, and for good reason. The brushes’ silicone tips strip away the need to clean sloppy glue brushes. Instead, woodworkers can allow the glue to dry, and then peel away the sticky stuff.
Following on the heels of that product’s success, Rockler’s product developers have expanded the line with a new Glue Bottle Applicator Kit ($19.99). With four distinct tips, plus a handy glue funnel, the new kit allows for just about any adhesive application you might encounter.
Smaller Brushes for Tight Spaces
Although their initial silcone glue brushes were a big hit, the one minor complaint we heard about from time-to-time involved sizing.
Those earlier glue brushes can be a bit on the large side when it comes to gluing up tight joinery. Rockler has responded this year, by releasing two packs of a new Mini Silicone Glue Brush. These new brushes also feature a ribbed dropper tip that’s been designed with dowel holes and mortises in mind. You can pick up the two-pack for $7.99.
