Interested in Richard Raffan’s new book. One of the first things I ever saw on turning was by Raffan.
Richard always has great tips and lessons in his books and videos. ;-)
I would like to have this book, and I've got to be due for a win.
I have a couple of his videos on VHS. Love his method and speed of turning. This book would be perfect for me because I make toys and I have a mini-lathe. I wish they had more turning shows on tv
Loved hearing Richard on Shop Talk Live
It sure would be sweet to turn some toys for Christmas!
i would like to make some toys
Through my name in the hat.
Would be nice to have
This would help round out my Raffan collection.

This will come in handy with a new baby boy on the way!
For me, Richard Raffan's books and videos have been, by far, the most valuable instructional and inspirational materials I have studied in learning to turn wood. I look forward to seeing what this book has to offer. Thanks, Richard.
I have other books by Richard Raffan and can't wait to win this one. I have two grandkids to start turning christmas projects.
This is a book I would love to have. Just added it to my Christmas list.
Enjoyed the podcast with Raffan
Raffan, this book is ever-so-coveted by me!
I would love this book, plenty of Grandkids that need toys for Christmas!
I turn lots of toys for my grandchildren and for our clubs Kids for Cancer Charity. This book will not only be enjoyed by me but also by my woodturning club with a whole lot more new ideas to turn.
With three Grandchildren, I am always looking for more wooden toy ideas. Always interesting to se whats new in wooden toys !
I just finished making my wood lathe with a 9 foot bed of pecan a la Carlyle Lynch March/April 1986 Fine Woodworking. Toys have always been my best fun.
Would love to make toys for the kids.
We are enjoying our long awaited one and probably only grandson last year ( 16 years ) and looking forward to making handmade gifts for him. I would love to add this book for my collection of ideas. Just retired and excited about being able to spend more time in my wood shop.
Richard does a great job of explaining thngs. My grand Kids are going to love this book! (:
I am a turner too.
I began my woodturning hobby 10 years ago by purchasing a R. Raffan book and DVD and have been making "designer sawdust" ever since. This one also interests me.
Being a Aussie like Richard gives myself an advantage as well as six grandchildren who enjoy the toys I make now but would enjoy the results from the book as well.
Love to have this book Richard is one of the best turners
Sounds like a terrific book. Love Raffan's basics book, so I'd love to have this one. My daughter would enjoy the results.
I have grandchildren and great grandchildren who would love toys turned by Gramps.
I have always enjoyed all books written by Mr. Raffan. This is one more to add to the list.
I've been making presents for the grandchildren for several years and this would be yet another idea for projects that they will remember me by.
This time of year I make toys for the kids that I know and some I don't in the neighborhood. I have never made anything on the lathe for the kids so this would open up a whole new area for me. Even if I don't win the book I may buy it for the ideas.
This kind of work is what keeps me coming back for more!
Excellent! Tis going on the 'ol Christmas list!
Sign me up.
I'm always willing to learn and a book in hand is the best lesson.
I love to gain new knowledge about woodworking. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
I'm always interested in a person who has to make a living off his woodworking. It's the guy who has to put food on the table that has the real skills. Richard is who got me into woodworking. I spent a year doing nothing but turning, watching his videos, and reading his books.
It sounds like a great book.
Looks like another great book.
With all my grand children and great grand children your new book will sure come in handy.
I've made many toy cars for needy children at Christmas, but never using lathe. Since most of my time is spent turning, this would be great for new ideas.
This book would be perfect because I have a mini-lathe and I want to make toys.
Looks like a book i need to get on my shelf.
Thanks for offering us a chance to win.
great book! perfect for a turner with young kids.
I've seen one of the toys and plan to try and make one.
Some new ideas would be great, I like to make a few toys for our local fire departments Christmas drive each year.
I have made some wooden toys for my grandchildren but never turned one. So, I would like to have this book.
Can't wait to get started reading...and turning.
This book would be great. New grandchild this year. Looking for toy projects.
This would be a great book, since who doesn't like to make a child smile with a hand made toy.
I believe this book will give me countless ideas for making toys to give to young patients in our local children's hospital. It is decorated extremely well but they cannot take the atmosphere home with them but a toy would be a nice substitute.

In a few months I am retiring from my day job in an office after 30 years. I will finally have time to work in my woodshop and make wooden toys to sell to supplement my retirement income. I just bought a midi lathe this month to complete my shop. Looks like this book would get me off to a great start.
Posting in an effort to win the book. Wonder how many toys are "turnable".
This would give me a reason to get back into turning.
I always looking for toy ideas and I enjoy turning.
This would be a nice complement to the other two books from Mr Raffan that got me started in turning.
I like Raffan's books and videos. This would be a fine addition to my library.
