Synopsis: When Carl Johnson and Kate Swann renovated the building that would house their shop in downtown Tampa, Fla., natural light and an inviting storefront were near the top of their list of must-haves. First on the agenda was knocking out the concrete block that filled the facade and restoring the large windows that had been there in a former life. Then, they uncovered the skylights. When the light flooded in, they knew they could turn their vision into a dream of a shop.
