Our pal and frequent contributor, Phil Lowe, recently was part of an exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum in Massachusetts – sort of. He starred in the background. They showed videos of him during “In Plain Sight: Discovering the Furniture of Nathaniel Gould” working in a Revolutionary War-era joiner’s shop, making various parts of furniture. The videos show him carving a ball and claw foot, carving a back splat, and carving a shell. It’s interesting and fun to watch a master create these beautiful things. Check it out:
