Another wasted hour of useless babble. The only redeeming thing for this episode is the interview. Come on guys grow up!
Listeners: Please lighten up. The show is called "Shop Talk." It's supposed to be a fun, relaxed conversation between the hosts, not a stuffy, all business conversation between professors in tweed jackets.
If you want all seriousness, all the time you should ask NPR to start a woodworking show.
More importantly, this is FREE content. Why would you ever complain about free content? If it provides one useful, or enjoyable moment, then it's a net positive. If you want all business, there is a lot of paid content out there.
Please try to relax. Maybe even laugh a little. You never know, you just might like it. It may hurt at first, but it'll get better, trust me.
It is an honour to pick up a skill or two from a truly remarkable craftsman himself, especially from a talented yet humble one. It is great to learn about special tools and techniques that he personally uses regardless of what type of furniture piece, be it a storage cabinet or another desk.
