Delta 18-900L Wins Best Overall
The Delta 18-900L was a no-brainer for the Best Overall award in Fine Woodworking’s 2015 drill press tool test. It has the most quill travel, a big table that tilts in both directions, the fastest and easiest speed changes, a quick-adjust depth stop and quill lock, an effective head-mounted laser pointer, and plenty of power and accuracy. Plus, the Delta was the only machine tested that included a usable table insert. It is leveled via set screws, and you can screw into it from below to hold it down.
