Hank Gilpin designs a chair that's less for sitting in and more for looking atSynopsis: Hank Gilpin designed his first waterfall armchair in 1983 with the goal of making a visual impact. As he worked on the design, he blended influences from English Arts and Crafts, to Classical Chinese, to Duncan Phyfe. In the end, what came out was a pure expression of Gilpin’s own distinctive style.
