Hi guys... Love the pod, yeah I miss Ed but life goes on. I have a question maybe you could help with. In FWW #118 Jeff Miller had an interesting take on string inlay. It's kinda cheating but he used epoxy to fill the grooves instead of wood. I have a project to do that I expect will take some abuse and thus technique might be a good one for this job. Jeff mentions that he had some issue with bleeding... could a seal coat of thinned shellac be the cure for that? Any other ideas?
I'll try this one... sill need to order the epoxy he recommends.
Also seems like some blue tape during the application, removed prior to set up, would greatly simplify cleanup. Yeah Mike, yet another use for the most useful tool on my workbench, blue tape.
I recently re-subscribed FW Magazine after a very long absence. I also decided to become an online member this time which has led me to this Shop Talk Live programme which I found very interesting and listener friendly. Gentlemen I look forward to tuning in to future programmes and thank you for brightening up my bleak winter's afternoon here in England.
