Use Stair-Gauge Buttons to Align a Drawing Triangle
I needed to lay out a very accurate 45° cut recently. The most accurate 45° layout tool in my shop is a plastic architect’s triangle, but it is difficult to keep the base of the triangle flush with the edge of the workpiece. I realized I could use the stair-gauge buttons from my framing square to align the drawing triangle accurately on the stock. You never know how you might repurpose a tool you already have.
