I've recently discovered the marvel of podcasts on my iPhone. I subscribe and download them as they become available. What a great resource!! I am a self employed woodworker, and my garage is my shop. I play STL podcasts all day long while I work. Makes the time fly, and I'm learning while I'm earning... Love it guys! Keep on keepin' on!

Hey Mike - the carbide inserts on the Shelix head are not actually curved! they are coincident with the surface of the cylinder of the head. Take a cylinder and cut a diagonal line across it and the result will be curved. If the inserts were straight the ends would stick up past the surface of the cylinder.
Two responses in one episode? You guys are rock stars, considering how painfully verbose those questions were. Thanks for the generous recognition of my limited understanding and the appropriate pronunciation of my handle. Mike's response and the comment's on Matt's lumber trip video inspire me to read up on sawn lumber. I loved watching Mike's video workshop on the Single Board Side Table as he walked through reading the grain for the different parts of the table. Gives me something to aspire to.
