The stopped chamfer is a classic detail on table legs, columns, and other furniture parts. Drawing them in SketchUp might seem like a difficult thing but it’s actually pretty straightforward. In this video I’ll show a couple of ways to draw them. The first way involves native tools. The second uses my favorite plugin, Trim and Keep. You could also use the Trim tool in the recently released BoolTools 2.

So clean and tidy! Very nice.
This is a great solution to a tricky task. Also, knowing the directional lock function on the rotate tool is very, very handy for a SketchUp newbie, such as myself.
