The UPS truck just dropped off my set of GreenWood mallets. The pictures made them look so good, and the story of GreenWood's efforts in the rain forest is so compelling that I just had to buy the set of three. As expected, they look fabulous, each of a different species of wood, and all nicely turned and balanced. Since the actual dimensions aren't mentioned in the descriptions, it might be worth while to list them here, though I wouldn't expect them to remain terribly consistent, since different woods are being used.
Large: 13.5 inches long, 8.5 oz in weight
Medium: 8 inches long, 7.5 oz in weight
Small: 5 inches long, 6.5 oz in weight
They are indeed light, but that's fine with me, since my two Wood Is Good mallets weigh in at 18 and 20 oz.
Thanks to Scott Landis and GreenWood for their good work, and thanks to Juan Vigel for his fine craftsmanship.
