Cutting hinge mortises can be a little fussy and any miscue can result in a crooked door and a fair amount of fitting to follow. Mike Pekovich has settled on a simple, easy-to-make routing jig that guarantees a perfect fit on the first try. In this webinar, Mike will show you how to make the jig and then put it to use. The key to its simplicity is that it’s built around the hinge itself with no measuring. The same concept works for installing locksets as well, making quick work of an otherwise time-consuming task.

Hey Ben,
Can you provide a link to the lock set that Mike recommended as an alternative to the one he demonstrated in the video. I believe it had an advantage as the selvage was at a straight right angle to the lock plate as opposed to being slightly rounded.
Thanks
I have not seen a Bombe with doors on the curved chest. When would you put hinges on a drawer? If you have a curved face door, probably a jig would be advantageous to keep the hinge barrels in alignment . . ..
