Great info. Learned a lot. Thanks.
I so much enjoyed the show with Ben, Tom and Chris (who featured, but not visually). Thanks to you all.
Just caught the taped episode. Great host, great instructor, and great topic. Looking for more Tom McLaughlin in the future. Thanks Tom, Ben, and Fine Woodworking.
Love me some shellac. Shop finish or fine finish -- it's all good.
Great video session. Thanks!
Nice comprehensive lesson about shellac finishing. Thanks!
One questioner asked about pads -- Maybe chalkboard erasers would still be available somewhere on the planet?
Some professional finishers' supply places (in Houston area) have such pads, but I usually just improvise.
One of the many reasons I like shellac is that it's probably the safest finish to apply anytime, anywhere - even in winter when you can't get good air circulation around you - especially if you use Everclear rather than denatured alcohol.
This was a great webinar; I especially appreciated the advice on how to fix runs and other application issues.
