This interview was done in 2019, and originally posted in 2020. It’s new to the podcast audience, and we thought the world could use a dose of Russ Filbeck right now.

President Carter has always seemed like one of the most thoroughly decent and charitable human beings on the planet. Loved hearing Russ’ anecdotes about him. And Russ seems like a damn good person as well.
Really enjoyed this interview, Ben.
Ben, I really enjoyed your interview with Russ. He seems like the kind of guy that everyone would like once they met him.
I'd also like to say that I've never seen an interview from you that I didn't like, I enjoy your laid back attitude and sense of humor.
How is it that after thirty, or more, years of woodworking that I've never heard of Russ Filbeck? I never thought that there would be a podcast that would make me proud to be a retired Naval officer, an INCA machine owner and a Fine Woodworking unlimited subscriber all at the same time. Your interview inspired me to make a small donation to the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch to help support the Master Chief's work.
