Convenient circle-cutting router jig
Check out this clever jig that keeps you from getting hopelessly tangled in your power cord when routing circles. If you’ve ever cut a large circle out of a 3/4-in. piece of MDF using a router and an ordinary circle-cutting jig, you know how annoying this task can be. Any time you need to do multiple passes around the circle, the router’s power cord—and if you’re using one, vacuum hose—gets wrapped around the router, your arm, and anything else within 10 feet of the operation. This clever jig from YouTuber Small Space DIY “orbits” the router in the base, making tangles a thing of the past.
If I were to build a version of this jig I would likely make it much simpler, but the concept is worth sharing.
