How to make a timber panel door
Bradshaw Joinery's tooling is of a commercial scale, but his methods are easily scalable or adaptable.I’m in the middle of building interior doors for my parents. They want something carved, frame-and-panel, and with some rustic charm. I want something that involves smart and tested techniques so it doesn’t take months or twist like Chubby Checker when I transport it from my shop in Connecticut to their home in Florida. I’ve never made anything at this scale, so I dove into research. My favorite resource by far has been the Bradshaw Joinery YouTube channel. His tooling’s commercial scale, but his methods are easily scalable or adaptable. His explanations are also wonderfully thorough, hence the 90-minute videos. Thanks to him, I went into the build with increased confidence, and his techniques have saved me time and headaches. Even if you’re not building a door now, I recommend keeping his videos in your back pocket.
